REPORTS TO:  Director of Exceptional Children

 

SUPERVISES:  None

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  10 months

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Provides consultation, seeks assistance of others, uses related research and makes recommendations and referrals in the implementation of services
  2. Plans therapy and uses appropriate diagnostic tools and therapy techniques
  3. Manages time, facilities and resources to facilitate delivery of services
  4. Promotes effective interpersonal relations and engages in continuing professional growth activities
  5. Develops individual education programs
  6. Conducts screening and testing, obtains diagnostic information, analyzes information and makes recommendations regarding programs and services
  7. Organizes the local program, cooperates with others to accomplish its goals, coordinates program services with other student services and maintains records in accordance with established rules, regulations and ethical standards
  8. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

 

PHYSICAL AND COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:  The major physical and cognitive requirements listed below are applicable to the Speech-Language Pathologist job classification within Martin County Schools.

 

Work in this classification is considered light physical work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects.
